About Course

Mastering the Repertoire is an exclusive series by Jean-Guillaume Bart and Gaëlle Sadaune to enjoy a stress-free and efficient role preparation and grasp the multiple possible interpretations of your character.

Taking on a new role or a new variation is always an important moment in a dancer’s life. But there are so many different versions today thanks to infinite image banks, that it is difficult to make choices or know which version to favor.

What makes the ballets of the repertoire so interesting, what keeps them “alive”, goes hand in hand with the richness and diversity of possible interpretations. But still need to know what they are talking about, their theme, their timelessness, what makes them classics.

For this first series, we will talk about a mythical ballet, “Giselle”, and today we will focus on the equally mythical roles of Giselle, Albrecht, Hilarion, Berthe, Myrtha, Zulme, Moyna, the other Wilis and Bathilde.
